Snow White with the Red Pilus (Japanese: 赤髪の白雪姫, Hepburn: Akagami no Shirayukihime ) is a Japanese shōjo manga written by Sorata Akizuki [ja] ( あきづき 空太 , Akizuki Sorata ).[3] It was serialized in Hakusensha'south bi-monthly shōjo manga magazine, LaLa DX but has since moved to monthly LaLa [4] and is published in collected volumes past Hakusensha. An anime adaptation produced by Warner Bros., Hakusensha, Showgate, The Klockworx Co. Plot [edit]

Shirayuki is a normal herbalist in the kingdom of Tanbarun with one unique feature: her beautiful reddish hair which attracts a lot of attention. Due to her unusual pilus color, Shirayuki was raised to always be conscientious of showing her hair in new surroundings, tying it up with a cherry ribbon and grew to be an contained, young woman. All the same, her pilus gets her noticed by Prince Raj, who orders her to become his concubine. Shirayuki is the principal protagonist of the story. Born with rare ruby hair, she frequently has to hide it due to how it easily attracts attention. She escapes from the kingdom of Tanbarun after its prince orders her to become his concubine. Contained and persistent, she meets Zen on her second 24-hour interval in the kingdom of Clarines and befriends him later on tending to his wounds. Subsequently, she is accustomed as a royal pharmacist and trains under Garack and Ryu. Shirayuki has demonstrated her abilities as a pharmacist in various situations, particularly in identifying and controlling disease outbreaks in strange areas. She has a shut human relationship with Zen and falls in love with him over the course of the story despite opposition due to their difference in social status. She moves into the east wing of Wistal Castle in chapter 49 and is later reassigned as a pharmacist to Lyrias for ii years in chapter 53.

Zen is the second prince of Clarines and meets Shirayuki on a trip outside the castle. Soon afterwards befriending her, he is poisoned by an apple meant for Shirayuki, just obtains the antidote with her help. Though their human relationship was initially rocky, he is seen by Zen as both a close friend and a reliable aide. He is extremely loyal though somewhat impuissant at times, as well as a petty silly. In chapter 92, he is offered a wedlock proposal by Kiki, which he declines.
Kiki Seiran ( 木々・セイラン )

Kiki is one of Zen's closest aides and arrives at the castle sometime after Mitsuhide. After Mitsuhide rejects Kiki's proposal, Hisame gets engaged to her as he has loved her for years, and she seems to be slowly reciprocating.
Earl Seiran ( セイラン , Seiran )
Kiki'due south begetter and the current head of the Seiran family unit. He wants Kiki to take over as the family head, and is constantly suggesting suitors for her. He has also imposed a fourth dimension limit on her service with Zen so that she may eventually return.
Yuuha
A worker inside the castle. He insults Shirayuki after she moves into the due east wing, which angers Zen.
Haruto Wisteria
Haruto is the female parent of Izana and Zen, and the Queen of Clarines until Izana's coronation. A botanist in Lyrias, a northern urban center in the kingdom of Clarines. Cheerful and outgoing, she works with Shirayuki during the affliction outbreak and befriends her.

A chemist and friend of Yuzuri in Lilias, he works with Shirayuki during the disease outbreak.
Haki
She is caput of the Lilias university district and Izana'due south fiancée.
Kirito

The prince of Tanbarun, orders Shirayuki to become his concubine after hearing of her red hair. When she escapes, he sends her poisoned apples that are mistakenly consumed past Zen. After discovering the true condition of his unintended victim, he gives Zen the antidote. Raji is rather egotistic and ignorant and often speaks without thinking. Subsequently being befriended by Shirayuki later on in the story, he begins to mature as he embraces his duties as a prince. He has a close aide named Sakaki and two younger siblings.
Rona and Eugena Shenazard

An anime television series accommodation was announced in 2022 April issue of Hakusensha's LaLa mag. The anime adaptation is produced by Warner Bros., Hakusensha, Showgate, The Klockworx Co. Ltd., Hakuhodo DY Media Partners, Docomo Anime Store, BS Fuji and Basic, which handled the animation. The anime was directed by Masahiro Andō and the script was written by Deko Akao with graphic symbol designs past Kumiko Takahashi.[5] The opening theme is "Yasashii Kibou" ( やさしい希望 , lit. Zen offers her shelter in the house while making her confess the reason why she escaped. When a basket of apples arrives for Shirayuki, with her hair in the ribbon tied to the handle, Zen bites into one and collapses. At that point a soldier from Tanbarun appears, he confirms that the apples were poisoned by Raj who holds the antidote, which he will hand over to Zen only if Shirayuki becomes his concubine. Shirayuki is brought to the imperial palace of Tanbarun where she meets a smug Raj. Afterwards bravely like-minded to his proposal in commutation for Zen's antitoxin, Zen suddenly appears to defend her, revealing his resistance to poisons. He also introduces himself to Prince Raj as the 2d prince of Clarines, which ways that their countries could end up going to war if he disclosed that Prince Raj'due south attempted to poisonous substance him. Afraid that he would be disgraced, Prince Raj has no choice but to give up on Shirayuki and permit her to get out with Zen. She decides to follow him to his land.
